FREE FRIDAY CLASS SCHEDULE

Sept 29th—Using the Internet

Do you know how to get around on the World Wide Web. This class starts at the beginning explaining how to navigate the Internet. It ends by talking about uploading and especially downloading everything from software, files, music and games.

October 6th—Using E-mail

October 13th—Using PDA, Palmtops and New Cell Phones with all the Bells and Whistles

So you have a handheld computer often called a Palm or Pocket PC (Dell, HP, etc.) - sometimes they are even given the name PDA. Would you really like to learn how to use it. Get full and detailed information on their use, how to load games, programs and files onto it. Learn how to use and enjoy all the things it can do. New cell phones have PDA capabilities too.

October 20th —Buying and BASICS of Using Digital Cameras

Want to learn how to buy and use a digital camera. This class starts by first helping you understand the workings of a digital camera, and what features to look for to make sure you get the right one. Many cameras will be shown. If you own a camera already you are invited to bring it with you to class so you can learn more about it. Then we will talk about how to share them by either printing them on your own printer, having them printed by someone else, or putting them on CD or DVD to be viewed.

October 27th—The REST of DIGITAL CAMERAS

The camera class was just not long enough. How do I save my pictures on my computer’s hard drive, burn them to CD and possibly upload or send them in E-mail. This class will also go through the steps of printing pictures either on our own printer or how to let Walmart or someone else make the printed copies for us. We will also wander outside and experiment with our digital cameras giving you tips on how to be a better digital photographer.

November 3rd —Using CD/DVD Burners for Music, Data, Pictures, Backup Etc.

CD Burners are standard on most new computers. They can even be put on older computers. They can be used to simply make an additional copy of your important files, or they can be used for some very wonderful new digital creations. You can take songs from multiple music CD’s and regroup them on your own custom made CD album. Digital Camera or Scanned Pictures can be used to make a DVD/VCD creation with music and words. Some businesses may even want to create their own digital advertising that runs the instant that your client puts it in a CD or DVD drive. Allowing you to show, and promote the things you sell.

November 10th - NO CLASS

November 17th—Making Your Own Movies/Presentations

Learn to make your own movies. Bringing your pictures and video from VCR/Camcorder/Digital Camera/Scanner. Add music and then burn to either CD Burner or DVD Burner. Add music text and special effects. You now have YOUR OWN MOVIE of your special events. Windows XP comes with a free movie maker program. So learning how is the only thing keeping you from making your own home movies and putting them onto DVD. A GREAT CHRISTMAS GIFT…..that will keep giving.

November 24th - NO CLASS - Happy Thanksgiving

December 1st —Buying and Using Scanners

Scanners have been around for awhile, but now they do more than ever. Scanners are built into our all in one printer. Learn to use it to scan pictures and information and then learn how to manipulate these pictures. Fixing old photographs, making digital photo albums. There is even a new scanner that will allow you to scan slides, by shining it onto scanner just like a projector. Creating awesome photographs from those priceless slides that have been gathering dust, stored away. Preserve some of those old memories sharing them with others by then storing them on CD so they can be reprinted or viewed by those who are so important in your life. (-Burning Class, Movie Class-)
